Satellite Healthcare Intern Profile: Gautham Bhoomreddy

Satellite Healthcare

The Satellite Healthcare University Program offers interns an immersive experience that prepares them for their future careers. Here's a testimonial from one of our phenomenal interns, Gautham Bhoomreddy. Click here to learn more about our University and Intern programs.

"For the past six months, I have had the amazing opportunity to intern with Satellite Healthcare on a cutting-edge project of making a cloud-based Enterprise Data Warehouse as a reliable data source for their analytics platform. At the start of the internship, I remember getting a recurring feeling of imposter syndrome even though I had spent the last two years honing my technical skills at San Francisco State University by developing apps, websites, data warehouses using SAP, dashboards using predictive analytics, and so much more. That feeling was brought about due to the job market I faced after graduating in 2020, but it quickly dissipated when I joined an amazing team of engineers here at Satellite Healthcare who made me feel very comfortable and inclusive, allowing me to grow. From doing simple data analysis to more advanced SQL queries where I was updating and inserting records into the Enterprise Data Warehouse to fix data discrepancies, opening SSIS packages to identify ETL bugs, automating emails using Python, and acquiring numerous soft skills, the amount of knowledge I have gained in such a short time astonishes me consistently.

I am someone who truly enjoys learning a wide range of subject matter, be it economics, financial markets, coding, working on my iOS App, or charting equities/derivatives using technical analysis, I never want to stop learning. I am also an optimist and a futurist because technology is going to be revolutionary in transforming our society in the next couple of decades. AI, nanotech, quantum computing among many other fields will change how we look at healthcare and I have no doubt that Satellite Healthcare will lead the way in innovations for kidney disease and dialysis to the point where any patient can receive affordable dialysis care at home if they choose.

I am beyond grateful to be a part of such a progressive non-profit company that always puts the patient first no matter what, which is the fundamental principle that the late founder, Norman S. Coplon embodied. I am extremely excited for the future here at Satellite Healthcare because understanding and analyzing data is the key to executive decision making, and I am extremely excited to have a chance to contribute towards becoming an even more data-driven company.

A very big thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way in this journey! I will never forget the kindness and support everybody has shown me. Thanks for giving me a chance!"

Thanks,

Gautham Bhoomreddy
