New Chief Brand Officer Marsha Dodd will communicate company’s legacy and vision of ensuring dialysis patients receive highest-quality, compassionate health care

SAN JOSE, Calif. – (June 1, 2021) – Satellite Healthcare announced today that Marsha Dodd will serve as its Chief Brand Officer.  This new role will amplify the organization’s purpose-driven narrative of compassionate care and patient-first culture with key internal and external audiences. Dodd will assume this role on June 1, 2021.

Beginning with the establishment of its first dialysis center in 1974, Satellite Healthcare has cultivated a reputation as a premier non-profit dialysis provider.  Its founder, Dr. Norm Coplon, created a patient-first focus, and inspired numerous industry standards and benchmarks that are central to the company’s orientation to this day.

Dodd, who assumes the new role following several strategic leadership positions within Satellite Healthcare, says the organization has not wavered in its mission to make life better for those with kidney disease. “For generations, Dr. Coplon’s imprint has been honored, preserved, and built upon by Satellite Healthcare’s care teams, leaders, and affiliated physicians,” she said.  “Our singular focus is to provide the best possible outcomes and experience for the people we serve, and I look forward to capturing and communicating our dynamic approach to helping our patients live their best lives possible.”

“Satellite Healthcare’s guiding principles of compassion and innovation have steered this company since it was founded nearly 50 years ago, and they remain every bit as relevant today in our focus to innovate and provide best-in-class health care to people with kidney disease,” said Jeff Goffman, Satellite Healthcare CEO.  “Our story is unique, and we’re excited for Marsha to deliver it to our valued audiences.”

Most recently, Dodd served as Chief Administrative Officer for the company’s strategic relationship with CVS Kidney Care, to advance the care of patients with kidney disease.

Keith Lester, Senior Vice President of Satellite Healthcare’s Home Therapies will assume the role of Chief Administrative Officer for CVS Kidney Care-Satellite Healthcare joint venture. Lester has worked closely with CVS Kidney Care colleagues since the joint venture announcement between the two companies in March 2020. This role will fully leverage Lester’s diverse background and experience in kidney care and operations. This joint venture is a key strategic initiative for both CVS Kidney Care and Satellite Healthcare. Lester will draw on the strengths of the two organizations to fulfill the mission of delivering high quality care to patients in need.

“The partnership with CVS Kidney Care holds great promise for patients with early and end stage kidney disease.  We are providing kidney options education, extensive home dialysis training and greater access to kidney care. This is work that I am privileged to be a part of,” said Lester.

Both Dodd and Lester will report to Satellite Healthcare CEO Jeff Goffman.
