Satellite Healthcare announced the appointment of Busy Burr, who most recently served as Chief Innovation Officer and Vice President of Healthcare Trend for Humana, to its board of directors effective today.
At Humana, Ms. Burr led the enterprise-wide innovation strategy and efforts to build new customer-centric platforms, products, and solutions to help customers engage with their health, and bend the trend on medical costs. She also founded Humana's Health Ventures group, charged with identifying, partnering and investing in the most-promising emerging companies in the healthcare space.
Additionally, Ms. Burr’s diverse background includes roles at Gap, Inc., Credit Suisse First Boston, eBay and Citi. Ms. Burr received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Smith College and a Masters of Business Administration from Stanford University Graduate School of Business. She served as an observer on the board of directors of two innovative, early-stage healthcare companies, Omada Health and Livongo.
